Jaune and verde girl

... This is my attempt to imitate a woodcut- something which I still have never been able to do as much as I'd like (I took a lithography class at college but that's the limit of my printmaking experience outside of one or two crude efforts in high school with corrugated cardboard). Some of my favorite art are prints from the post-Impressionist period and so I tried to channel that style. The color combination doesn't exactly scream erotica but besides recalling the muddy and muted colors I remember from the post-Impressionists, I figured the full frontal nudity and direct gaze needed a color scheme that dialed it down a bit.

Purple passion

This was originally a charcoal drawing from my imagination (basically, I mean not drawn from a model). I colored it in Photoshop. My friend Jim published a collection of erotic stories called Literotica (his Google search turned up no trace of what seems to now be a popular web site). The book included fumetti (a comic book made up of photos instead of drawings) and some erotic fiction and poetry. It was never distributed and Jim has boxes upon boxes still sitting around somewhere in his house.

Charcoal nude

This was drawn from life with vine charcoal many years ago. It's still a favorite but maybe that's because I haven't worked with a live model much since then.
