This is my attempt to imitate a woodcut- something which I still have never been able to do as much as I'd like (I took a lithography class at college but that's the limit of my printmaking experience outside of one or two crude efforts in high school with corrugated cardboard). Some of my favorite art are prints from the post-Impressionist period and so I tried to channel that style. The color combination doesn't exactly scream erotica but besides recalling the muddy and muted colors I remember from the post-Impressionists, I figured the full frontal nudity and direct gaze needed a color scheme that dialed it down a bit.
